ECCSEL responds to the need for a dedicated and coordinated research environment, striving to close specific knowledge gaps, pushing the forefront of technological development beyond the state-of-the-art, and thereby accelerating the commercialisation and deployment of CCUS methods.

ECCSEL is working towards alignment with the European Green Deal and the integrated SET-Plan. Our long-term vision for innovation and industry collaboration is to support the 2050 climate neutrality goal by offering cost competitive carbon capture solutions for the hard-to-abate sectors in Europe and beyond.

In order to contribute to innovation within the field of CCUS, an innovation strategy document will be elaborated upon in close cooperation with ECCSEL members and industry players, describing the ECCSEL innovation tool.
