ECCSEL EU Green Week virtual partner event
ECCSEL in cooperation with NTNU Brussels Office held a successful partner event during EU Green Week 2021, on 1st June. Here you can find the presentation held by our Director, Sverre Quale. In the presentation Sverre highlighted among other how ECCSEL contributes to closing the CCUS technology gap in our member countries today.
Abstract: The 2050 carbon neutrality goals will require large investments to decarbonize European industries. The European Green Deal brings forth CCUS as one of the possible technologies to achieve this, while at the same time the ERA relaunched strategy invites the European Research Infrastructures to expand on industrial collaborations as well as to focus on a reinforced widening approach.
During this event the industry challenges to contribute to achieve the 2050 targets as well as the possible contributions of CCUS technologies to achieve industrial decarbonization and how to make them accessible to the industry players were discussed.
